The North Dakota Department of Health found zero deficiencies in a routine unannounced review of the two ICF/MR group homes and Day Supports program in Minot in December 2008. The extremely rare finding of zero deficiencies, for the second year in a row, was welcome praise for the program and administrative staff that work very hard every day to provide excellent services.
The annual visit is a required part of state licensure. The review involves three days of observation of services, ensuring that plans are individualized, comply with industry “best practices”, and are appropriately implemented by trained staff. The review also covers compliance with health and safety codes.
