MVAW sponsored a booth at the first annual YMCA corporate chili cook-off contest and was awarded first place by the judges in the red chili category. With fresh, chopped vegetables combined with the traditional hamburger and beans and just the right level of spices, the chili was a hit with all taste-testers.
The booth was a team effort with set-up, food prep, cooking, decorating, and manning the booth conducted by members of previous winning teams from MVAW’s chili cook-off. All participants enjoyed the opportunity to showcase their talent and creativity.
The Minot YMCA sponsored the event on September 26, 2008 as a community fund-raiser.
