The North Dakota Department of Health conducted an un-announced site visit of the two ICF/MR homes and the Day Services program in Minot in November. Despite extra challenges brought on by several cases of illness and a temporary water shut-off in Day Services for repairs, the visit went very well.
The surveyor observes staff interaction and plan implementation, watching for compliance with health regulations, agency policy, and individual plans. Plans for a sample of individuals are checked closely to ensure that services are appropriate and individualized.
The list of deficiencies was very short and very minor, which again confirms the top-level quality of our staff and agency policy & procedures. Congratulations to ICF/MR and Day Supports staff!
