MAFB Switchboard Contract

MVW Services was awarded the contract to operate the Minot Air Force Base Switchboard effective October 1, 2009.  The contract includes answering/transferring telephone calls to MAFB offices, providing locater services, and managing the “Hearts Apart” program.  Employees use computers to look up phone numbers.

The contract was procured under the AbilityOne program, which gives preferential access to federal contracts to entities that employ people with disabilities.  Federal regulation requires that at least 75% of all direct labor hours worked under the contract be performed by people with disabilities.  The Switchboard contract is one of twelve federal contracts performed by MVW Services.
