Earth Day 2009

The MVAW Recycling Center celebrated Earth Day on April 22nd.  Each customer received a coupon for a free car wash (from Toads Ride-n-Shine) and a re-usable shopping bag (from MarketPlace Foods).

In addition, confidential document destruction services up to 100 pounds were available free for one day only. Recycling continues to be an important part of “living green” and taking responsible care of our planet.  Recycling conserves landfill space and reduces consumption of resources (including energy) needed to produce new products.  Utilizing the MVAW Recycling Center also supports employment for people with disabilities

Confidential Document Destruction is an important service designed to prevent compromise of confidential information when files are ready for disposal.  All documents are shredded, mixed, baled, and recycled.  Any business or individual that is concerned about social security numbers, health information, or other sensitive data is vigilant about proper disposal.  We can shred information safely, and our fees are lower than your cost (based on a typical office shredder and wages)!
