Extended Services Program

Extended Services Program - ESP

Extended Services is a long term program that allows ongoing support for a person while at work.  People enrolled in Extended Services are generally capable of working at community job sites or on contract job sites with the support and assistance of a Job Coach. People are supported to interview for jobs, explore the job market, and develop job skills. Once a job is secured, people are supported in all areas of the job including transportation.

People who are employed on Agency contract sites may work at shelf stocking, in a warehouse,  in postal service, as part of a janitorial crew, as food service attendants, or as a switchboard operator.  Minot Vocational Adjustment Workshop operates The Recycling Center and a commercial laundry service.

Area businesses are assisted by Minot Vocational Adjustment Workshop to hire people with disabilities and are provided on-going support of a Job Coach.   People employed on a job in the community may work at area department stores, fast food restaurants, or in municipal buildings.
