Supervised Apartment Living
Minimally Supervised Living Arrangement (MSLA)
A supervised apartment setting is available for people who want to live more independently, but who need and/or want staff availability 24 hours a day to structure their daily routine and provide support as needed.
One and two bedroom apartments are available. People in this program maintain their own apartments and do their laundry with support as needed. Support is provided for meal planning, grocery shopping, meal preparation, and cooking based on each person's plan.
People are involved in activities that will lead them to greater independence and more control of their lives. Some people are developing a sense of self-identity and preferred life style. They are exploring options and making choices that will assist them to identify their personal goals and make them known to people who support them as well as their family and friends.
Transportation to and from work, appointments, shopping and other outings, as needed, are provided to the people that live here. People are supported to fill out activity calendars and talk to staff about when they will need a ride somewhere.
Staff are trained to safely administer medications to people who need support in that area. All staff are also trained in CPR and First Aid.
