Residential Services

Living in the community with minimal supports

Individual Supported Living Arrangement (ISLA)/Supported Living Arrangement (SLA)

People receiving these services are living in homes or apartments that they own or rent throughout the city.  They are engaged in activities that will increase their independence and lead them to greater participation in community life.  Services for people in these programs are highly individualized.  Some people are retired; many are employed and work varying shifts on government contracts or other community sites.

Services are provided in their homes and apartments.  People enrolled have support to plan and structure leisure times, maintain their homes, manage finances, meet health care needs, and plan and prepare meals.  They use support, when needed, to resolve issues with landlords, make and keep medical appointments, locate affordable housing, and manage personal crisis.
