Accreditation   CQL

CQL (The Council on Quality and Leadership) rolled out the new accreditation standards in 2005. They are called Quality Measures 2005 sm  which promote an integrated quality management system.
Award recognizing our quality and excellence of service.

In 2006, MVAW went through the new accreditation process and became the first agency in ND and the second in the world to be accredited with these broad-based quality indicators.

Title XIX - Medicaid Certification Licensure

The principal focus of an ICF/MR survey is on the “outcome” of the facility’s implementation of ICF/MR active treatment services.  This attention focuses on what actually happens to individuals: whether the facility provides needed services and interventions; whether the facility insures individuals are free from abuse, mistreatment, or neglect; whether individuals, families and guardians participate in identifying and selecting services; whether the facility promotes greater independence, choice, integration and productivity; how competently and effectively the staff interact with individuals; and whether all health needs are being met.

MVAW's  ICF/MR homes are re-licensed annually by the ND Department of Health and the ND Department off Human Services after the thorough, unannounced survey conducted on-site by the ND Department of Health Surveyors.
